Overview
Visit Springfield needed a set of tourism pieces that could do more than just sit there and look pretty. Camp Ape created a full visual kit that included a tradeshow backdrop, life-size character cutouts, a mini tear-off map, and a library of custom icons and illustrations pulled from the city’s landmarks, flavor, and local oddities. The end result gave Springfield a bolder way to show up in person — one that invited people in, sparked conversation, and carried a strong sense of place.

The Challenge
Visit Springfield wanted visuals that did more than looked good—they needed something with gravity. Something that didn’t whisper “tourism” but shouted “WELCOME TO THE BIRTHPLACE OF ROUTE 66!” This wasn’t just designing a booth or a map. It was distilling a whole city into a visual language that could stop foot traffic.
The Solution
The final setup did exactly what it needed to—and then some. The bold backdrop and character cutouts instantly became photo-op magnets, helping Visit Springfield draw attention (and conversations) from across the tradeshow floor.
